We
are a non-profit all volunteer organization. There can be quite a bit of
expense involved in running the organization, so we rely heavily on fundraising
and donations. Below are several ways that you can help:
- Food Lion will donate up to
$350 per quarter to WCSAR if participating MVP card members link Wake
Canine Search and Rescue (WCSAR) to their card - either
on line at www.foodlion.com/ -see
Fundraising and Register card links. If already registered for 2003
you must re-link your card by the end of 4th qtr for 2004. You can also
call their customer service number at 704-633-8250 X3810. You simply shop for your groceries as
normal and Food lion will donate a percentage of your total bill to WCSAR
when you use your MVP card. Linking
your card is very easy to do, and it only takes a few minutes. WCSAR's
mailing address is Knightdale, NC
(you'll need this info to register).
- For those of you who prefer
an online mall to the real thing, there is another unique opportunity for
you to help. Simply go to
www.igive.com and pick Wake Canine Search and Rescue as your charitable,
non-profit organization (or use direct link www.iGive.com/html/refer.cfm?causeid=22980) , then shop at participating retailers. A portion of
your total bill will be donated each time you shop.You
can also download an auto window that will notify you when you open a
participating website (like Barnes and Noble or PetsMart.com).
- Your tax deductible check is
always welcomed! Make it out to WCSAR and mail it to the address
listed at the bottom of our Home
page.
- We are always in need of
folks to be ‘victims’ for our canine handlers – call one of the Search
Commanders listed on our Home
