		Spring Exercise – April 2004 The majority of our members attended this annual training exercise which was held in Haywood Co this year. This training exercise is run as a four day and night search for lost hikers. This search is run exactly the same as a real search and gives us an excellent opportunity to perfect our skills under real situations. The exercise was sponsored by the North Carolina Search and Rescue Advisory Council (NCSAR), of which Wake Canine is proud to be a member of. FOR ALL PICS CLICK HERE!
		LA SAR Conference – May 2003 We encourage our members to attend conferences outside the state and several of our team members benefited greatly from one held in Louisiana. Of particular value was the excellent instruction in air scent training given by Cheryl Kennedy.
		Vet School Open House - April 2003 WCSAR was on hand to help greet and educate the visitors at the 2003 College of Veterinary Medicine Open House. We distributed information on what to do if you become lost and introduced our canines to many young visitors. In addition we gave demonstrations of our search and rescue dogs in action tracking down a “missing” visitor. We appreciate all those people who visited with us during the day and we hope to return again next year.
